❤️ Community Feature: Peterborough Cathedral Raises £300,000 To Keep The Lights On! |
Back in January, Peterborough Cathedral launched a £300,000 "Crisis" appeal to keep the lights on — literally. And this month? Mission accomplished. Over a thousand people chipped in to help the Cathedral meet (and exceed!) its goal. The final push included a major anonymous donation, helping to secure the future of this historic gem. Beyond its spiritual role, the Cathedral supports countless community events, local choirs, art installations and more.
A big well done to everyone who helped make it happen. |

Local Business Spotlight - Katana Peterborough |
An Evening at Katana Peterborough: A Feast for the Senses As we move away from the cooler winter months the perfect stage is set for our visit to Katana at 44 Broadway in Peterborough's City centre, a restaurant everyone had been raving about. As we stepped inside, the warm glow, jazz-infused ambiance, and the irresistible sizzle of Teppanyaki grills welcomed us like an invitation to another world. It was chic, cozy, and brimming with energy—like stepping into Mayfair without leaving town. Seated at the Teppanyaki table, we watched in awe as our chef, Hiro, transformed cooking into a dazzling performance. Flames danced, knives twirled, and laughter bubbled up as he flipped shrimp tails into his hat and coaxed my friend into catching a flying morsel of chicken (she missed, hilariously). Each dish—tender wagyu beef, perfectly seasoned prawns, and fluffy garlic-fried rice—was a masterpiece, prepared right before our eyes. The drinks at the Bubbles Bar were as spectacular as the food. My “Katana Spark” cocktail, a zingy blend of yuzu and champagne, perfectly mirrored the evening’s effervescent vibe. Meanwhile, the matcha cheesecake we shared for dessert was the cherry on top—a sweet finale to an unforgettable night. Katana Peterborough isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to revel, laugh, and make memories. Whether for a celebration or just because, you’ll leave with a full belly and a fuller heart. |
