We've gone looking for actual answers rather than just shouting at a Facebook post.

“My Child Is Scared Of The Dentist. What Can I Do?”

First, don't build it up into a big event.

Tell them the dentist is simply going to have a look at their teeth.

 Try not to introduce scary words like needle, injection or pain unless they ask.

When you book, tell the dental practice they're nervous. That gives the team a chance to know before your child walks through the door.

And if they've got a favourite toy or comfort item they want to bring?

Bring it.

The goal isn't to convince them that visiting the dentist is the most exciting day of their life.

It's to make the next visit a little less scary than the last one.

Worth Knowing: A1 Or A1(M)? It Changes At Peterborough

If you head south out of Peterborough, the road changes from the A1 to the A1(M) around junction 17 at Fletton Parkway.

That matters because motorway rules apply once you're on the A1(M).

And for plenty of Peterborough journeys towards Cambridge, the M11 and the south-east, the A14 is another major part of the route network National Highways describes it as the strategic link between the A1 and M11.

So before a summer trip, don't just check “the A1”.

Check the A1, A1(M), A14 and the route you're actually joining, because a closure on any one of them can completely change the journey.

Myth v Fact

MYTH: If you're renting, you'll normally sign up for another fixed six or 12-month tenancy.

FACT: Not anymore.

Since 1 May 2026, most private assured tenancies in England are rolling periodic tenancies rather than the old fixed-term AST system.

So if you haven't rented for a while, don't assume the paperwork works the way it did last time.

The rules have changed quite a bit.

Ever Trusted The Sat Nav A Bit Too Much?

You're heading back towards Peterborough from around Yaxley or Haddon.

Google Maps announces it's found a quicker route.

Good (well sort of) 

Then you're turning down a road you've never seen before, passing somewhere you definitely don't recognise and thinking:

“There is absolutely no way this is quicker.”

Five minutes later you're still following it because turning back would mean admitting the sat nav has won.
