What can you actually get around Peterborough for £10 that still feels like good value?

And we don't necessarily mean the cheapest thing you can find.

There's a difference between cheap and worth it.

Food is the obvious place to start

A decent lunch for under £10?

That's getting harder.

But there are still cafés, takeaways, market stalls and independents where a tenner can go surprisingly far.

Maybe it's a breakfast that keeps you going until dinner.

A lunch deal you'd happily buy again.

Fish and chips that haven't crept towards special-occasion territory.

Or something from a local bakery where you leave carrying considerably more than expected.

Those are the places we're interested in.

Not:

“Technically it costs £9.99.”

We mean:

“I'd happily pay that again.”

It doesn't have to be food

What else can £10 buy you locally?

A couple of hours somewhere with the kids?

Something at a local market?

A second-hand bargain?

A decent bunch of flowers?

A book?

A small treat?

Maybe there's somewhere in Peterborough where £10 still buys an experience rather than disappearing on one ordinary purchase.

That's what makes this interesting.

And sometimes paying more is better value

Think of somewhere local where you've recently spent £10 or less and walked away pleased with what you got.

It could be:

food,
a day out,
a shop,
a market stall,
a service,
or something we've completely missed.

One rule:

You'd genuinely recommend it to somebody else.

Not because you know the owner.

Not because they once gave you a free coffee.

Because you spent your own money and thought:

“Yep. That's still good value.”
